Arab countries take aim at Israel’s alleged nuclear arsenal
VIENNA – Arab diplomats signaled on Tuesday they would seek to step up pressure on Israel over its assumed nuclear arsenal but the Jewish state said any attempt to “bash” it would be counterproductive.
Arab countries, angry at the lack of movement in efforts to move towards a Middle East free of nuclear weapons, have served notice they plan to target Israel for criticism at the UN atomic agency’s annual member state gathering in September.
“We need to raise our frustration, we need to raise our concern about this issue,” one Arab envoy in Vienna, where the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is based, said.
Israel’s ambassador to the IAEA, Ehud Azoulay, told Reuters that Arab states “are taking a counterproductive route by raising this issue … and trying to bash Israel”. READ MORE
I was in an auto collision this afternoon. As my son and I were driving down the highway, a lady pulling out of the parking lot of a business must not have seen me coming and pulled right out in front of me. I slammed the brakes, but impact was inevitable.
Her hubcap attached to my bumper and I pulled her a bit, making her go parallel to my Blazer.
I have a sore right knee and stiff leg. Not sure how that happened; must be from slamming on the brakes. The other lady has a broken collar bone, which is good news because she appears to be in her late seventies and very thin/frail. It could’ve been a lot worse. My son was in his car seat in the back and is fine.
We are so thankful for the Lord’s protective hand. I imagine half a dozen angels scurried about, manipulating the collision in such a way that no one was badly hurt, while one put his hand on me to keep me safe and another over my son. I imagine the lady had one too.
My Blazer? Totaled I’m sure. The lady has good insurance, I’m told by the police. That’s good. Most of all I am thankful for divine protection and the assurance He’s in control.
