A cool story of how God works

Some time before church on Sunday, a lady told our song leader that the tune of a certain hymn had been running through her mind and asked if he would lead it during the singing portion of the service. So, he does. The hymn was Open My Eyes, that I May See. Unbeknownst to both of them, the sermon of the day was entitled Open My Eyes and the minister (my dad) had chosen to play a video of a song with the title of Open Our eyes. But then it gets better! Before the hymn was led by the song leader and the title of the sermon revealed, the man heading the Lord’s table quoted Helen Keller as reportedly saying, ” the only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” He then said something about needing to have our eyes open.

So, there was no doubt in the minds of anyone paying attention that God absolutely wanted to give us the message of being alert, and our eyes focused on Him.

This is not the first time such things have happened. Praise God for that, and for the little miracles that remind us He is still in control!
