Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8
The Word of God gives us so many warnings about false teachings in the last days (more than quoted above), but He also guides us in how we should live in this world while remaining apart from it.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12
Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
II Peter 3:11-12, 14-15, 17-18 NKJV
So many within the church are falling away, gathering for themselves teachers that entertain and tickle their ears.
The clip below is from a video put out by Justin Faull of Fourth Watch Radio Network. His guest host is a man by the name of BK. In the original video, the men discuss the controversial topics of Destiny Cards, Christ Alignmentand Bethel Church of Redding, CA. Apparently, professing Christians are setting up booths at various New Age-type fairs, not to teach the Gospel with boldness, but “undercover” while giving readings of Destiny Cards. The DC allow these compromisers of the faith a foot in the door among people who would otherwise not welcome true Christians. These cards are a “christianized” version of Tarot, if there is such a thing-which there really isn’t. Anyway, Justin and BK discuss the NAR and how much of American churchianity is dabbling in the occult while trying to paint it as Christian, in a effort to “be all things for all people”.
The clip I provide is BK’s closing comments which I think is spot-on and needs to be heard. The link to the full video is in the description of this clip, in case you are interested….and I think you will find it very interesting.
