Is Vladimir Putin Gog?Daymond Duck

God foretold a great battle that will take place when three conditions exist (Ezek. 38-39):When the latter years and latter days have arrived (Ezek. 38:8, 16); when Jews have returned to the Promised Land from many Nations (Ezek. 38:8); when the Jews are dwelling safely (Ezek. 38:8, 11).

All three of these conditions exist right now (Israel is dwelling under God’s protection).

This great battle will be led by a man called Gog. He will rule the land of Magog (modern Russia; Ezek. 38:2).

Magog lies north of Israel (Ezek. 38:15). Some translations say the “far north.” Others say the “uttermost parts of the north.” Russia occupies that location.

Only God knows, but many prophecy writers, including this one, believe Vladimir Putin is Gog. continue link below

18th Century Jewish Mystics Predicted Future Conflict Between Russia, Turkey Ripe with Messianic Implications

With tensions escalating between Russia and Turkey, many are wondering if the world is being witness to a divine act of messianic intervention.

Just before his death in 1797, an exceedingly well-respected Jewish sage known as the Vilna Gaon (the genius of Vilna) left his followers with a prophetic statement about two specific events that would happen just before the appearance of the Messiah.

After being held as “a closely guarded secret” for over 200 years, Rabbi Moshe Shternbuch, a great-grandson of the Vilna Gaon, shared the full prophecy publically for the first time in 2014. The text of the Vilna Gaon’s prophecy was reported by Rabbi Lazer Brody, an American-born Hasidic rabbi and teacher from Ashdod, Israel in March, 2014.

Unwalled and Un-gated

With Russia in Syria, many-including myself- have speculated that Ezekiel 38/9 may be around the corner.  While it is certainly in the future, it may not be as close as some think. Let’s take a look again at some verses from this passage:

‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.

You see, it says Israel will be dwelling in safety with no walls, bars or gates. Is Israel presently living in such conditions?  Obviously not.

It will be interesting to see the events which lead up to this sense of security.

When will Ezekiel 38-39 be fulfilled?

Nathan Jones, web minister for Lamb and Lion Ministries and the frequent co-host of the ministry’s television program Christ in Prophecy sent me the following link (which is an article written by him) in response to a question I posed to him the other day.

The article is rather lengthy but chocked-full of information and, I found, very helpful. Check it out.
