What Was God Doing Before Creation?

by Ken Ham

One reason people give for rejecting a young universe is that they think it somehow limits God. After all, what was He doing all that time before creation? This question reflects a basic misunderstanding of God and time.

Because of my stand on a young universe, a man approached me and said, “But it makes no sense to believe in a young universe. After all, what was God doing all that time before He created?”

I answered, “What time do you mean?”

The person answered, “Well, it doesn’t make sense to say that God has always existed, and yet He didn’t create the universe until just six thousand years ago.” Apparently, he was worried that God once had a lot of time on His hands with nothing to do.

I then went on to explain that because God has always existed, then it is meaningless to ask, “What was God doing all that time before He created?” No matter how far you were to go back in time, you would still have an infinite amount of time before He created! So even if the universe were billions or trillions or quadrillions of years old, you could still ask the same question.

Time Was Created with the Universe

I then answered, “But you are missing the fact that there was no time before God created.”

Time is actually a created entity. The first verse of the Bible reads: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1, emphasis added).

A study of this verse reveals that God created time, space, and matter on the first day of Creation Week. No one of these can have a meaningful existence without the others. God created the space-mass-time universe. Space and matter must exist in time, and time requires space and matter. Time is only meaningful if physical entities exist and events transpire during time.

“In the beginning . . .” is when time began! There was no time before time was created!

God Is Separate from Both Time and the Universe

The Death of Ariel Sharon-What could it mean?

Former Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon has died at the age of 85, after spending years in a comatose state brought on by a stroke.

You may recall the recent buzz about the prophecy of an old rabbi, Yitzhak Kaduri. Kaduri claimed to have been visited by the Messiah in a dream/vision.  One year after Kaduri’s death, he revealed in a letter that the Messiah is Jesus Christ.  He also said that Jesus told him in his vision that after the death of Sharon, He would come to earth.  Sounds exciting doesn’t it? I’d be chomping at the bit except for one thing:

I don’t believe for a second that Jesus visited the old man.

On the contrary, I believe it was satan masquerading as the Lord.  How can I be sure? Well, let’s take a look at what Kaduri said about the Messiah, as revealed to him in the vision:

First he said the messiah will reveal himself by not even realizing that he himself is the messiah at first. Um, big sign Kaduri is not talking about Jesus because Jesus knows exactly who He is.

Secondly, he said that the soul of the messiah will attach himself to someone already in Israel. Big sign number two! Jesus does not, will not, attach himself, or indwell a human being. (We’re not talking about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers). satan, however, WILL indwell a human being, the antichrist.

It would be just like satan to masquerade as “an angel of light” and claim to be Jesus. How easy it would be for him to convince this respected rabbi that he was visited by the messiah, Jesus, and that he would come to earth to save his people shortly after Sharon’s death. Then, when anti-christ makes the peace covenant Jews will remember the rabbi’s prophecy and some will be convinced that the anti-christ is the Messiah for whom they’ve been waiting so long. How easily he could also convince immature, unknowledgeable Christians that he is “Jesus”.  satan hates mankind, especially the Jews, with a passion and will do and say whatever necessary to deceive as many people as possible. He also wants to be worshipped as God, so I doubt he’d care if some gullible people mistook him for his most hated adversary, Jesus Christ. Oh the lies that he will spew forth!

Remember, we are warned in 1 John 4: 1 to test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Just because one may have a vision or dream and be visited by what appears to be a heavenly being, does not mean it is from God. God has given us His Word. He has revealed all we need to know to rightly divide the word of truth.  satan, however, knows his time is short and is desperate to deceive as many people as he can. So far, he is doing a pretty good job.

Do not be deceived, dear readers. Jesus Christ IS coming back, but not before there is a tribulation upon this earth so terrible He must stop it or all of mankind would perish. But, you don’t have to be here for that. I won’t be. The wheels are in motion, sand is falling swiftly through the hour glass, are you ready?

Could anything be more OBVIOUS?

Many students of Bible prophecy agree that the modern state of Israel is THE biggest indicator that we are living in the end times.

No other nation in history has regathered after being scattered across the world for nearly 2000 years. The fact that modern-day Jews even know, or care, of their ancestry and its uniqueness is a miracle in and of itself I think.

Since its reemergence as a sovereign state in 1948, its neighbors have been boo-hooing and pitching a fit over a piece of land that, before the Jews began resettling, was essentially a wasteland. This is a piece of land that makes up a QUARTER OF A PERCENT of what is considered Arab(Persian if talking about Iran)/Muslim land in the middle east and northern Africa.  Take a look:

Yet, the PEACE of the whole world depends upon whether Israel gives up a portion of that .25 of a percent. Of course, her enemies will not be happy until the name of Israel is remembered no more and is completely wiped off the map.

The fact that itty bitty yellow slither is the center of world news and the object of world-wide debate and animosity is proof enough that the Bible is True, Replacement Theology is a FALSE DOCTRINE and we are living in the last days of human history as mankind has always known it.

The good, and what will be surprising news for the world, is that yellow slither will be victorious in every assault hurled at her, for Jehovah God defends her and He who put the stars in the sky says she will never again be scattered. Since Abraham, she has and always will be God’s people. Mr. Netanyahu should thumb his nose at Obama and the rest of the world who think they know what is best for Israel and the middle east.

So many Americans couldn’t give a hoot what is happening “over there”, nor do they have any idea as to Obama’s policy concerning Israel, the PA and upcoming peace talks.  As long as gas prices do not skyrocket, who cares? We should care, for God has declared that whomever blesses Israel will be blessed and whomever curses Israel will be cursed. (Genesis 12)

We are living in the end, folks, and we are seeing prophecy foretold thousands of years ago coming true…RIGHT NOW!  Just take another look at the map above…it makes absolutely no sense why one tiny nation could be so hated by the world and much more successful than its envious, evil neighbors UNLESS, the Bible is true. Could anything be more obvious?

Psalm Sunday-Psalm 121

I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.

The Lord himself watches over you!  The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.

The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. (NLT)
