I realize I am very late in posting this, but Brother Farag addresses mostly the Iran deal and the inflamed Middle East in general.
Still very much worth your time.
Since ISIS exploded onto the scene, and especially since they declared themselves as the new caliphate, the web has been abuzz about the significance and whether or not this caliphate will produce the man of perdition, the lawless one.
Some of the arguments are quite strong and one certainly cannot deny the importance of this brutally violent-satanically driven- organization. Will the Islamic Mahdi step out and fill the role of the anti-christ? Some think so.
I do not. Of course, I do not presume to be an expert on Bible prophecy, but through intense prayer for wisdom as I try to fit the pieces of the puzzle to form a logical scenario, I have thus far come to the following conclusion:
ISIS, or IS as they now refer to themselves, is setting the stage for the fulfillment of some very big prophecies.
If modern Christian escatologists are correct in thinking that Psalm 83 is an end-times prophecy, rather than just a prayer, then we are on the brink like never before.
In an article for WND, Joel Richardson provides the modern-day equivalents of the nations referred to in Psalm 83.
The first is Bill Salus’ interpretation of what countries will soon conspire against Israel. Pictured below.
Mr. Richardson thinks Salus is incorrect in including Egypt in the list. His article explains why. Here is his interpretation of the countries represented in the Psalm:
Regardless, the scene is pretty clear.
The Islamic State has issued a call to all Muslims to enter the caliphate or suffer the consequences. A brief glance at the news headlines will give you an idea of what kind of “consequences” they have in mind.
Isn’t it logical to assume that a vast majority, if not all, of the various radical organizations terrorizing the middle east will eventually do just that? Join the caliphate? Once they do, the goal of the caliphate is to dominate the world. But before they can do that, item number one on their agenda will be to annihilate the “filthy Jews” (Israel) once and for all. Enter Psalm 83.
As all three prophecies reveal, Israel will of course be victorious and those who conspired against her will be like chaff in the wind; bringing upon themselves what they hoped to do to Israel.
Thus, Israel will be a shining beacon in a wasteland. A beacon that is very attractive to nations a little farther out than their previous neighbors. A nation like Russia, perhaps. Enter Ezekiel 38 and 39.
Israel will undoubtedly take a sigh of relief after its immediate danger had been thwarted. Russia, on the other hand, will see an oil-rich middle east ripe for the picking. Perhaps he will see the chaotic bliss of the aftermath as a great opportunity to move in and plunder. Russia conspires and joins forces with Iran (who is bound to be enraged by the recent developments), along with the nations of Iraq, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sudan, Libya, Austria, Germany, Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as various unnamed countries (source).
Read the Scriptures to see how THAT turns out. Not well for the conspirators.
This, I believe, will be a great time for the anti-christ to step forward and make a peace covenant with Israel. Start the clock for the seven-year tribulation and the final years of earth as we know it.
So, when do I think the rapture will happen? Of course I have NO IDEA except that it will be sometime before the man of perdition is revealed (2 Thess. 2:7-8). That means we could witness, from our present human-condition on earth, the above prophecies being fulfilled.
As I said, this is all speculation on my part based on the knowledge I currently possess. A likely scenario, don’t you think? We’ll see how it all plays out.
Many prophecy watchers agree with Bill Salus’ conclusion that Psalm 83 is about a yet-future war between Israel and its neighbors.
An honest watchman cannot deny the plausability of such an event. Let’s take a look at the Psalm:
Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah
9 Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera,
As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,
10 Who perished at En Dor,
Who became as refuse on the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb,
Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us take for ourselves
The pastures of God for a possession.”
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind!
14 As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
Just a brief glance at the headlines of today’s news will reveal these events are unfolding before our very eyes. How many times in the past few years have we heard someone say they plan to annihilate Israel? Too many to count, obviously. The so-called peace process is fizzling out:
Two-State Solution is Dead : Sixty percent of those polled, including 55 percent in West Bank and 68 percent in Gaza, reject permanent acceptance of Israel’s existence.
The recent events in Iraq are what raise my eyebrows. ISIS taking over, the call for the rebuilding of a muslim caliphate and then there is this:
How much longer before they all decide to lay aside their differences and deal with their common enemy, Israel? When will they form this alliance to “reclaim” the Middle East and wipe Israel “off the map” once and for all?
Will the bride of Christ be here to see any of this? Maybe. Maybe not. We do know our departure is imminent and Jesus has instructed us to “look up”.
So, that is what I continue to do.
Israel ‘the most threatened state in the world,’ says PM
Concluding a three-day nationwide defense drill, Netanyahu warns of ‘tens of thousands of missiles and rockets’ aimed at civilians
Facing the threat of thousands of enemy rockets, Israel’s home front is more vulnerable than ever, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday at a meeting concluding this week’s home front drill, which tested the country’s readiness for chemical and conventional rocket attacks.
“We are deep in the era of missiles that are aimed at civilian population areas,” Netanyahu said during a meeting of the Emergency Economy Committee. “We must prepare defensively and offensively for the new era of warfare. The State of Israel is the most threatened state in the world. Around us are tens of thousands of missiles and rockets that could hit our home front.”

Golan Heights villages brace for war as tensions rise between Syria and Israel
Food and medical supplies are stockpiled and bomb shelters prepared as Bashar al-Assad threatens to open new front
One-year-old Angie stretches out her small hand towards the cherries and peaches on display outside a grocery shop in the village of Majdal Shams, on the slopes of the Golan Heights, while her mother explains why she is stockpiling food and has cleaned out her family’s bomb shelter.
“Anyone here who looks at the current situation knows you need to prepare, especially food for the kids. Adults can wait to eat while fighting goes on outside but if your child wants milk,” she says, pointing towards Angie, who is now howling with tears of frustration, “you’d better have milk to give them.”
Angie’s mother, who asked not to be named, has been stocking up on rice, canned food, oil and wheat for the last week. She listens to news reports of missiles from Russia and Israeli air strikes, she hears the cracks of gunfire and thuds of mortars just minutes away in Syria and feels the war coming closer.
“There is an atmosphere of fear now. Everyone is preparing for war, not just me,” she says.
“_But on Tuesday, Iran’s foreign minister said it is Syria’s Arab neighbors — not Tehran — who should respond to the Israeli strikes.”_
