Indeed. What is holding us back from operating in the full authority of He who saved us? Why do we regurgitate these verses but do not embrace its truth?
I have never listened to the band Skillet; never even heard of them until this guy’s article began circulating. He has some important reminders for the Church, though.
What is truth? Your Word is Truth.

Guess what: we are already immortal on a certain level. We do not cease to exist when we die. We continue on, for those who accepted the redemption offered through Jesus Christ we continue through eternity in His presence in a place so glorious it is beyond our imaginations; but, for those who rejected Jesus, hated the Truth and embraced a lie, an eternity of unimaginable terror engulfs them. But remember:
There are those in the world who have been deceived into thinking if we can extend our lives, we will not have to face the judgement of God. Be not deceived. There are those among us, both man and evil spirits, who know the Bible is true and will do anything to stop it….meanwhile, deceiving the masses into damnation. Please do not be among them!
In 2015 there was an Australian Rules footballer who generated much controversy through his taking offense at being regularly booed during the course of his matches. The booing was not all that desirable, of course, but it happens fairly often to certain players and most just laugh it off.
This player, though, of aboriginal descent, chose to believe the booing was racially motivated (apparently the fact that the way he played the game was objectionable wasn’t the main reason, even though many of those who booed him specifically stated as such) and it sparked a firestorm of controversy in the all forms of media, even internationally.
So in our 21st century Western world why do people seem to be falling over themselves to claim such major offense at what are often quite minor provocations. How did we get to this? And what can we do about it? Let’s have a look at the first question to see if we can find an answer to the second. Continue
