I’m not NUTS and here’s WHY

I realize some of you, particularly my friends on Facebook, think I must have lost my mind and joined the Harold Camping crusade.  After all, Christians are to share the love of Jesus, do good for the community, be tolerant of different views, go to church at least once a week and never discuss anything unpleasant. Anyone who declares that the world is about to end must be a follower of an extreme cult or has completely lost their marbles.

Well, first off, I am not a follower of Camping or any other group that likes to set dates. Secondly, the world is NOT about to end. At least not in the way Hollywood portrays it.

Jesus tells us that no one knows the day or the hour of His return, but He does give us insight into how to spot the season. I believe with every inch of me that we are in that season and I have an overwhelming desire to sound the alarm: Jesus is Who the Bible says He is; He is alive and He is coming back: first in the sky to call His bride home and then again physically to establish His kingdom on earth.

I’ve already listed for you the reasons I know the Bible is True. If you haven’t read this, please do so by clicking the tab at the top of the page.

But Marcia, you said the world is NOT about to end and now you suggest we are living in the season of the Lord’s return. Which is it?

Both. The physical earth, while greatly changed by earthquakes and other natural phenomenon, is not going to explode or be hit by an asteroid or come apart at the core or any other way Hollywood sensationalizes it. Not yet. By the time this earth is replaced, you would’ve already made it to your eternal destination so you needn’t concern yourself with that. The only thing you need to be concerned with is that we are living in the season of the Lord’s return. This means the true followers of Christ can be raptured at any moment. The rapture is when Christ calls His bride home, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye.

Some time after the rapture will be what is referred to as the Tribulation. You don’t want to be around for this. The tribulation will begin when the man of perdition, commonly called the anti-christ will be revealed and he will make a peace covenant with Israel. This covenant will last 3 1/2 years before he breaks it by plopping himself down in Jerusalem, in the temple (that is yet to be built, but is in the planning) and declaring himself God. After this happens, all hell will literally break loose and you definitely don’t want to be here for THAT. This Great Tribulation will last another 3 1/2 years before the nations of the world gather for the war of Armageddon. It is at this time that Jesus will appear(with His bride, those raptured at least 7 years prior), step down on the Mount of Olives in Israel, literally win the war with a word from His mouth, burst open the eastern gate of the wall of Jerusalem and sit on the throne of David and reign with justice and truth for one thousand years. When He does this, satan will be bound, the anti-christ and his false prophet will be cast into hell and all those bearing the mark of the anti christ will be cast into hell. Lots of stuff happens after the thousand years, but that is for another post. Again, by then you will already be at your eternal destination.

This all sounds so fantastical doesn’t it?  If you didn’t think I was nuts before, you must surely think it now!  Sorry folks, I am not nuts and this is not a sci-fi fantasy script. This is the Truth and the future and one day you will know it to be True. I pray that day is today, for you, while there is time to do something about it.

So. I’ve given you a brief summary of what is coming. The question remains; why do I believe this so certainly?

Once again I present you with a list:

Indications We Are Living in the Season of the Lord’s Return, or Why the Rapture is imminent:

*The nation of Israel. In my opinion this is the single most important indicator. The Jews must have reestablished their nation before the end-times wheel could start rolling. This happened in 1948.

Before she travailed, she brought forth; Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? Isaiah 66:7-8

Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; and I will bring them back and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.’  Zechariah 8:7-8

*Technology is such that the whole world can witness an event simultaneously, before satellites this was not possible. Also, the technology is in place that would allow the ant-christ to require everyone to have a mark (tattoo barcode, microchip) on their hand or forehead to be able to buy and sell.

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:16-17

*Collapsing economies. National economies are collapsing left and right, including America’s. This sets the stage for the “need” of a one world economy, to of course be governed by a one world government, which will be headed by the anti-christ.

*Influx of natural disasters. Sure, there have always been hurricanes, earthquakes, sinkholes, disease, drought, flooding etc but the frequency of these has escalated to a dizzying degree. Furthermore, there are lots of things happening that cannot be explained, like random sinkholes and strange noises coming from the earth with no point of origin.

“…and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” Luke 21:11

*Apostasy of believers. So many of the world’s churches have gone so far away from the true gospel that they don’t even recognize it. So many teachers and teaching that God didn’t mean such and such verse, that is was relevant only for that time period.  Righteousness is not determined by culture or the historical timeline. What God says is wrong is always wrong. What He said to avoid then, we need to avoid now. Period.

The time will come when they [professing Christians] will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths 2 Timothy 4:3-4

*Love waxing cold, a rise of hatred; calling evil good and good evil.

Realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God… 2 Timothy 3:1-4

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  Isaiah 5:20

*Wars and rumors of wars. We’ve got Iran threatening Israel and the U.S.; North Korea making threats, China and Japan, the tumultuous situations in Syria and Egypt, the list is endless. Ezekiel 38, 39 foretells that a group of nations will rise up against Israel to wipe her off the earth.  Two of the major players in this war are Iran and Russia. Now while we do not know where this war falls on the timeline, the stage is obviously being set.

You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars… for nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Matthew 24:6

*An outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This may seem contradictory to apostasy, but while so many are following after false teachings, there are many who are realizing the signs and growing closer to God.

It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Joel 2:28

*The Gospel reaching the world. Thanks to the internet, satellites and radio the gospel is being preached to all the world.

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24: 14

*Revival of the Roman Empire.  Duh, the European Union. Now, according to this article, they are considering electing a head president. The Bible reference for this is Daniel 2.

*Deceptions, false teachings. As I’ve said before, satan uses every weapon in his arsenal to deceive mankind into worshipping him. You see, anyone who does not abide in Christ is ultimately worshipping satan. These deceptions come in the form of false teachings, such as evolution/atheism; false religions such as Islam; humanism, aliens, ghosts, even that God is Love therefore will not send anyone to hell and other distortions of the Truth as presented in counterfeit christianity. Another endless list.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Mark 13:22

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18

It all boils down to this. The Bible is true. Every prophecy concerning Jesus’ first coming was fulfilled. Prophecies since then have been fulfilled. There is no reason to doubt that those still unfulfilled won’t be fulfilled.

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
